Description
Connects the South Mills River trail with the middle of Squirrel Gap trail. Starting near the old Cantrell Creek Lodge site, the trail follows Cantrell Creek upstream on the river right side to where the former trail continues upstream (now part of Horse Cove Gap trail). Cross the creek onto a newly constructed section of trail (rerouting the portion that once followed the creek closely) that climbs the slopes far above Cantrell Creek through several switchbacks up to Squirrel Gap.
